Flower Power

As Valentine's day wears off and thoughts of spring arise I thought I would reminisce about one of my favourite dress silhouettes from the past. A perfect ode to a decade gone by that continues to influence present day, this fifties/sixties pouf classic dress is still a fashion fave. Here is a dress from the oscar de la renta spring/summer collection from '06 and my current day take from H&M - the abstract floral print helps give this classic silhouette a more contemporary edge.

Contemporary HM version (Spring 2010):

The website that I found the picture on also had a compilation of various styling tips for this particular dress from various contributors....let me know what you think! http://www.polyvore.com/floral_cotton_dress/thing?id=13199670
